"The words were BOLD!"

Zachery came to us on Sunday and told us that he thought he needed glasses....RIIGGHHTT, I'm thinking! He just wants to wear glasses because...isn't is true??? We all at some point in our childhood thought how cool it would be to wear glasses, and so I think this must be true of him!
Until he proceeded to tell me that he was in children's church and asked to borrow his friends glasses to see if he could see the overhead projector better and he then said very confidently..."mom, the words were bold!" I knew then that he probably was telling the truth. It was just too obvious by his choice of words. So.....today was the big day! He DID need the glasses, and he is thrilled with taking them off his nose and putting them back on to see the "boldness" of things!
To be honest, I am sad(not because he can see...relax)but because it means it represents more change that I'm not ready for. My children are getting older....and I want them to stay little.
I remember when I was changing diapers and never thought how fast those days would go by....As a dear friend would always say...."Dont wish those days away" So.....I will not wish these days away, but love every minute of it. It will be one day when they will be walking down the aisle and Ill wish that I was buying glasses for my 9 year old!
