Finally!

Today was the day that Alex and Lamis publicly wed. He actually was married a few months ago, but wanted to wait until he had bought a house until he publicly announced his marriage. After he purchased the house and had all the things in place, he then would have the wedding reception. The wedding reception was at the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, MI.

If you don't know Alex, he is a friend of mine that I work with at JD/Benmar. He's a great guy and a really hard worker. Alex and Lamis are both Muslim and the entire wedding was in Arabic. You'll notice that most all the women are wearing head covering. Alex was told that this is a requirement in the Mosque for all women. Another interesting thing to note is that the women never shake a man's hand.

Here are a few pictures I took from tonight. Sorry that some of them were so dark, but my camera doesn't take far away indoor pictures very well.

Here's a video as Alex and Lamis enter the reception hall.

Too cool! I only wish the video had been longer!

Alex is great - he's the one that always has to remind me of my password each time I come up to work at Benmar!!! He's very patient!

We had to remind the ushers at Kevin and Jenny's wedding about the "no touch" rule as well! It was VERY important that they know that!

It's a nice look for you, Liz! I'm gonna Facebook you a note about it! ha ha ha
