Vijay Sings!

My father-in-law was kind enough to take me, Dave and his son Joel, to the 2005 Buick Open at the Warwick Hills Country Club. This is my first time to a PGA game and it was a joy. The weather was perfect and the golf sights were engaging.

Our plan was to follow Tiger and Vijay and somehow stay ahead of the crowd. This was fairly difficult since there were so many people. We did however manage to see Tiger, Vijay and others.

It was quite enjoyable to be able to see these guys in action and to see how a golf ball should really be struck. At one point Geoff Ogilvy ‘shanked’ his drive on the 18 and the ball went way right (this is how I golf “zigzag”). This is probably rather normal for most non-PGA golfers, but the next stroke that Geoff anything but the ordinary. He somehow managed to absolutely crush his second shot, hit the ball over a 100 foot tree and land it on the green, mind you that there were hundreds of people literally inches away from him. It was an unbelievable shot that I could have never made or probably ever will.

Vijay Singh managed to flatten his competition beating Tiger Woods and likes by more than four strokes (click here for more).

I had a great time, thanks to Dave (my father-in-law) for the tickets and the invite.
