Allen Park 2 mile run & 8k
Today was the day Liz, Sabrina and Zach finished a race which they have been preparing for weeks. Sabrina and Zach both ran the 18 & under 2 mile run. They both finished strong, Sabrina at 20 minutes and Zach at 16:52. Liz and I were so proud of them finishing something they had started weeks before the race even started. They really worked hard.
In addition, to the kids running the 2 mile kids race, Liz ran the real deal 8k (5 miles) adult race. She did great and finished just over 52 minutes. I know she wasn't happy with the time, but I was proud that she finished strong. The last two or three blocks she was booking it trying to beat the girl in front of her and she did.

oh dear. i'm getting teary-eyed seeing those pics! i love the one of you giving a pep-talk to sabrina. you have your game face on girl!! so proud of you guys!!!

It was emotional to see them finish knowing they had worked hard preparing for it....Im a proud mama! :)
